I Love this time of the year!

Reasons why I LOVE this time of the year:

- Birth of our Savior

- Singing Christmas Hymns

- Giving to others in need

- Decorations

- Christmas Music

- Shopping

- Buying for Friends and Family

- Secret Santa (seriously...I've gone mad at Target)

- Christmas treats and goodies (though I need to STOP eating the treats...)

- Disneyland being all decked out 

- Going to Holiday Parties

- LA Temple Lights

- Teaching my dance students Christmas dances

- The Nutcracker

- Believing in Santa till I was 10 and wishing I still did...(Better believe it!)

- Family time

- Good food

 My amazing Holiday Cookies.  A tradition in my family.

I always look forward to Christmas and am sad when it is over.  

But this year especially I have been reminded about the real reason behind Christmas.  How appreciative I am of our Savior Jesus Christ.  We celebrate his birth and what a celebration that is.  As I go about my life, I try to emulate him and better myself to be like Christ.  I think it takes a lifetime of continual service to become like Christ and even then we are not perfect, but because of him we can be made whole.  How grateful I am to have such an example to pattern my life by.  THIS is what Christmas is all about. 

I had an opportunity to work Candlelight this year at Disney.  I had a blast and was so grateful to work the event.  Not only because I had fun but because it reminded me what this time of year was all about.

I hope we all can remember what this time of the year is all about.  AND I do hope that Santa brings you what you wish for.  :)

P.S.  I told my Dad what I REALLY wanted for Christmas and he told me it'd be too hard to wrap....oh well! :)
