Count your blessings

Today in church we sang the hymn "Count Your Blessings".  While singing, I realized no matter what is going on in my life, there are ALWAYS blessings to be accounted for.  The past few weeks for me have been rough.  I'm hurt (and I rarely will admit that).  But with the new year here I am getting a fresh start and putting the past behind me.  I will continue to count my blessings...one by one.

When upon life's billows you are tempest-tossed

When you are discouraged thinking all is lost

Count your many blessings, name them one by one

And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

So amid the conflict whether great or small

Do not be discouraged God is over all

Count your many blessings angels will attend

Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

I have been greatly blessed throughout my life and I know I will continue to be.  As long as I keep my head held high with faith in my Heavenly Father, things will work out.  With the good, comes the "not so good" and vice versa.  But as long as I focus on the good....it will always outweigh the "not so good".  :)

Count your many blessings.

Name them one by one.

And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.
